Record Description | Approximately 30No live juniper bushes, most of which are ancient and still in good health although several show signs of stress with browned foliage and with several dead bushes shaded out by a sycamore tree.
The largest of these junipers has been recorded by the Woodland Trust as an exceptional tree.
The woodland above Spring End is rather heavily grazed however there are very large Hollies, old Hawthorns and two extremely large Sycamores. Downy Birch is probably the dominant tree. |
